By the title you can figure out what this post will be about. If the title makes you uncomfortable than I just advice you to ignore this post.
I can't rememeber if I ever mentioned this topic before but early on Peanut and I struggled with this. It took 3-4 weeks before I didn't want to cry every time she latched on. I struggled through it trying desperately to get through it knowing it would be beneficial to my baby. Now that I made it through I love it. Its personal time to continue to bond with my Peanut. I was also able to produce a lot of milk in the beginning. No, not a lot, and insane amount. There were a few times I could pump close to 20 ounces AFTER feeding her. Even though I have a lot of milk stored away I don't want to stop breastfeeding. Like I mentioned before I enjoy it. Since going back to work I've noticed a dramatic drop. It's so hard to do something you want to do but your body doesn't want to cooperate with your ideas. For the first time this weekend I didn't have enough to make my baby happy. It broke my heart that she was getting so frustrated becuase she wasn't getting what she wanted from me. I had to heat up a bottle to finally make her happy. This wasn't just one occurance. If it was one I might be able to handle it a little better thinking it was just a fluke. However it happened a few times in a row. I was hoping to make it the whole year with feeding her breastmilk and not having to do any formula. The way my supply is dropping I'm worried I won't be able to do this much longer for her, and it hurts my heart. I know whatever happens happens. And I know I have done a lot for her already, doesn't make it any easier if you have a plan and it doesn't work. Doesn't make it any easier that I love breastfeeding and I might not be able to make it as long as I wanted. This all makes me sad, but I'm not going to go down without trying my hardest to bring my supply back up. No matter how much extra work it makes for me.
She is just so darn cute!!!

Where has time gone
So its been a little bit since I have been on here. My apologies. There has been a lot that has happened in the past few weeks. To sum it up short, week 2 of back to work I decided to take my last day of the week off and hang out with my baby girl. Week three day 2 I end up taking her in to the Dr to check for pink eye (none thank goodness). When texting the daycare lady, M, I find out that one of the other kids had lice. Awesome. So I end up staying home with Peanut the rest of the week. Made it through week 4 of work and am almost done with week 5. Peanut seems to like the daycare lady, she smiles bunches at her when I drop her off. Makes me feel good and sad at the same time.
We went to 2 Twins games where they won both. I think Peanut might be a good luck charm. The second Twins game we went to was on Mother's Day. First one and I think it was a success. We had a great day with Nana. The weather was beautiful, couldn't have asked for a better day, well maybe a little less wind, but overall it was great.

Lastly our little Peanut is now 3 months old. Where has this time gone. I can't believe she is already 25% of the way to 1 year old. She is getting so big. She loves to talk now, its the cutest sound I've ever heard. It is so great watching her grow and change every day. She has also started to grab items. Including my arm today, ouch.

First week down
We made it through our first week. Well more so I made it through our first week. Abby did great at daycare and they seem to love her, but how could you not. She is such a good baby. Peanut has picked up a bit of a cold, which was pointed out to me isn't surprising since she just completed her first week of daycare. Hasn't been around that many germs yet. Towards the end of the week M, the daycare lady, showed Peanut how to press the keys on the piano. After just a couple of views Peanut was having a fun time playing the piano by herself. M took some pictures so I will post them when I get them.
Being back at work isn't fun. I don't totally enjoy my job, just working here until I can finish my degree. That is one thing that made coming back so hard, I don't really want to be here, but this is real life and in real life you have to pay bills. Well if you want good credit you have to pay bills.
I loved getting to spend all weekend with Peanut. Lots of snuggles included :) Made going back today hard but not as hard as the first day.
Here is a fun photo from the weekend:

Going back to "normal" life
Today was a very sad day for Mama Lucas. I had to go back to work after 2 wonderful months with my baby girl. After getting 4 hours of sleep my long day began. I was so sad having to drop her off at daycare. The longest I had been away from her was maybe 6 hours and then she was with Nana. This is the first time I have left her and she wasn't with Nana or Daddy. So hard on Mama and its not going to be any easier to repeat tomorrow. I miss spending all day with my little girl. Seeing every smile and hearing every noise she makes. Someone else gets to experience all that while I sit in a cube and process orders. That makes me sad. I wish I could stay at home with her all day long and never have to go back to work.
I was told she did great in daycare. She was very alert and smiling to all the other kids. Not that I doubted my wonderful little one. Among all the little milestones of daycare and mama going back to work, my little girl is 2 months old today. I can't believe it. Where have these 2 months gone. I don't remember what life was like before she came and I don't care. Four hours of sleep and having to work 10 hours, then come home and take care of some things. I'll take it in a heartbeat to have this beautiful girl with me. I am so blessed and happy for her I can't imagine my life without her.

Rolling over
My baby girl is growing so fast. Today she almost rolled over. She was so close, all she needed to do was move her arm and she could have had it. I can't believe how big she is getting. She had her 2 month Dr appointment yesterday and she is now weighing in at 10 pounds 2 ounces and is 22 3/4 inches long. She is almost 3 pounds more than when she was born. My little peanut is growing up. It amazing to see how much she has changed in just a short 2 months. I can't imagine how much it is going to be in the next 2.

Bath time
Today we had another bath. She doesn't seem to mind them. Looks a little shocked but she hasn't ever cried/screamed when she got a bath. Not even in the hospital for the first time. She just gets this look like "what in the world is going on."
She is the greatest baby ever. I love spending all day with her just hanging out. In the past few days she has started to smile at things. Melted my heart the first time. I can't describe how it felt when she wakes up and sees me and smiles. Makes me love her even more :) She even smiled at daddy while we were Skyping tonight.
She has also gone to 5 hours in between eating. This makes mama very happy at night. Although she tends to wake up after 3 so I gotta put in the paci, but 5 hours is good for me!
Here she is all clean from her bath

6 weeks
Where has time gone. As I type this up my little girl is just 40 minutes away from being 6 weeks old. I can't believe she has been in my life for 6 weeks already. I have forgotten what life was like before her. She is so amazing and I feel so blessed to be her mommy. I love her so much. This is what I get to look at while typing this.
So peaceful sleeping there. I am also blessed to have been given an additional 2 weeks of leave from work. I was so sad, it was originally denied and then yesterday, the day before I was to return to work, I got a call from my boss saying that I could have the extra time off. I'm so happy. Its going to be so hard having to go back and dropping her off at daycare. The only times I have been away from her she was either with her daddy or her nana. Its going to be so hard leaving her with someone other than them. I will also be away from her for 12 hours. I can't imagine how hard that is going to be :(
I have been very blessed to have no problems producing enough milk for Peanut. So much so that Nana had to make the turkey she had stored in the freezer because I had so much stored for her. As of right now I don't know how many bags I have but tomorrow when I reorganize I will probably count. The other day I took down 25 bags to add to the collection so by guess I would say I probably have close to 100 bags or so, ranging from 4-6 ounces. This girl definitely has lots of milk to drink :)
To wrap this up here are a few pictures to recap the last few weeks.
